On May 28, 2019, about 50 people, including representatives and advisors from Ulsan University's second campus in the Techno Industrial Complex, attended.
The launching ceremony of the "Techno Industrial Complex Convergence Council" was held.
The Industrial-Academic Association of Ulsan Techno Industrial Complex, which gathered to become a Korean-style Silicon Valley, held a launching ceremony to announce the start of full-fledged activities.
At the inauguration ceremony, USIS Lee Il-woo, the first president of the company, was unanimously elected.
Jang Sang-yong, CEO of NCOA Networks Co., Ltd., will be the secretary-general of the council.
Lee Il-woo, the first chairman of the group, said in his inaugural speech, "In order for Ulsan Techno Industrial Complex to grow into a Korean-style Silicon Valley, active participation and cooperation from each member company is essential because network activation is the most important."
"Our council is important to create profits for companies, but rather, it will actively work to improve the quality of life of the people, improve the global environment, and play a role as a watchman to protect the safety of Ulsan citizens," he said.
