Ulsan City and Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute Agreement, 9 companies from 2 institutions participate
Ulsan City and the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) announced on the 25th that they will establish an intelligent power-driven mobility parts support center in Ulsan Innovation City.
The center makes design and development equipment to support technology and trains R&D personnel. Through this, it is going to establish a foundation for supporting intelligent power-driven mobility parts and promote localization of core parts of local companies.
The project will be carried out for three years from 2022 and Ulsan Techno Park and Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency will participate. Demanding companies are DIC, Usu TMM, KAR, Hyundai Inverter Solution, UBMicro, SkySys, USIS, Nova Tech, and Seoyeonihwa.
Kim Myung-joon, head of the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, said, "We hope that cooperation centered on the intelligent power-driven mobility parts support center can contribute to Ulsan's future automotive industry transformation."
